Samira arbeitet als Dienstmädchen bei einer marokkanischen Diplomatenfamilie in Genf. Sie verbringt ihre Tage damit, niedrige Hausarbeiten zu erledigen und auf Najat, die kleine Tochter ihrer Arbeitgeberin, aufzupassen. Eines Tages, als sie mit Najat in einem Park Verstecken spielt, versucht Samira zu flüchten.
