Die Theatergruppe Valendas aus dem bündnerische Safiental bearbeitet Friedrich Dürrenmatts grotesken Roman DURCHEINANDERTAL. Sie erachten den Stoff als geeignet ihre Welt theatralisch darzustellen. Der Roman erzählt die Geschichte einer Stiftung, die einem abgelegenen Bergtal zu Wohlstand verhelfen soll. Der Film begleitet den kreativen Prozess bis zur Aufführung vor Publikum. Das Safiental gilt als «potentialarmer Raum». Es sei an der Zeit, solche Täler zu entvölkern und der Natur zu überlassen. So die politisch zugespitzte Debatte.
