Berta muss noch viel erledigen, bis sie das Gefühl hat, sie habe gelebt. Sie muss unter anderem noch eine Kuh melken, völlig verrückt abtanzen, immer ihre eigene Meinung sagen und mit einem Frachtschiff fahren. Jonas hat keine Zeit, zu sterben. Frau Wohlgemut bemerkt an ihrem achtzigsten Geburtstag, dass ihr die goldene Seite ihres Lebens erst noch bevorsteht.
