200'000 koreanische Kinder wurden nach dem Ende des Koreakrieges über den ganzen Erdball verstreut. Jung ist einer von ihnen. Er wurde 1965 in Seoul geboren und 1971 von einer belgischen Familie adoptiert. Als Adaptation des Comic-Romans zeigt der Film Schlüsselmomente im Leben von Jung: Waisenhaus, seine Ankunft in Belgien, das Familienleben, die schwierige Jugend. Er erzählt uns die Ereignisse, die ihn dazu gebracht haben, seine Vielfalt zu akzeptieren. Entwurzelung, Identität, Integration und Mutterliebe werden genauso thematisiert wie die multi-ethnische Patchworkfamilie.
